			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We hear so much about how <a title="positive affirmations" href="http://mindhealingbodyhealing.com/">positive affirmations</a> can transform our lives, but do they <em>really</em>?</p>
<p>From getting a parking spot or a new job, to attracting a soul mate or nurturing <a title="inner peace" href="http://www.theinnerpeacecenter.com/">inner peace</a>, there is a lot of corroboration to support the power of affirmations to make positive change. We might want to take a personal &#8220;reality check,&#8221; however, to make sure that we <em>truly</em> have no doubt that thought, <em>our</em> thought, has creative power before we put a lot of effort in attempting to transform the situations in our life through a constant &#8220;mental focus&#8221; on the changes we desire, so that we&#8217;re not just &#8220;whistling in the dark,&#8221; so to speak.</p>
<p>We can&#8217;t expect to positively change <em>effects</em> in our personal life by changing their mental <em>cause</em>, i.e., <em>our</em> mental position, through affirmations, if we are convinced that &#8220;certain circumstances&#8221; are completely and irrefutably physical in origin, have no mental substructure or thought interrelationship and, therefore, exceed our ability to affect a change. If we doubted that by changing our thinking through affirmations, we could change our personal life, then what good would affirmations do for us? It is a prerequisite that we have at least a &#8220;mustard seed&#8221; of <a title="faith" href="http://www.innerlifecenter.com/"><em>faith</em></a> in the power of our mental focus and affirmations <em>move a mountain</em> in our personal life, in order for them to be effective.</p>
<p>We all display a quantity of faith each day. Have you ever been &#8220;surprised&#8221; at a sunrise? Have you ever worried that the sun might not come up the next day? It&#8217;s highly unlikely that it&#8217;s occurred to any of us to question our faith in the earth&#8217;s gravitational relationship to the sun. So, there you are, we all have a grain of faith, a &#8220;starter kit&#8221; of unshakable trust. We can start with that and build a mountain of faith to from which to send out our affirmations.</p>
<p>Saying affirmations while filled with disbelief, fluctuating between faith and fear, is the same as filling a balloon with water rather than air. Our desires wiggle here and bulge there, but they never get off the ground. Faith gives our affirmations soaring power because unshakable faith is mental insistence elevated to a place of <em>realization</em>. Realization is the &#8220;secret&#8221; to creative mental power. When our affirmations <em>feel true,</em> when what we say is what we <em>truly believe,</em> then affirmations can <em>really</em> change our life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Can there really be a separation between &#8220;mental&#8221; health and &#8220;physical&#8221; health. More and more medical doctors are agreeing with alternative health care professionals that stress reduction, and a sense of <a title="inner balance" href="http://www.innerlifecenter.com">inner balance</a>, is essential to total health and wellness. One of the best ways to relieve stress is through <a title="meditative" href="http://www.youcanlearntomeditate.com">meditative</a> biofeedback.  We can actually learn to alter our reaction to stressful situations.</p>
<p>We can begin by consciously breathing, slowly and evenly&#8211;the same innate, deep &#8220;belly breathing&#8221; we did when we were a baby, or the easy, appreciative breaths we naturally take when we feel peaceful, safe, and happy. Breathing slowly and deeply clears our mind, opens our awareness to our deeper peaceful nature. This way of breathing allows our mind, emotions, and body to relax.</p>
<p>Though it is similar to the centered <a title="mind/emotions/body" href="http://www.mindhealingbodyhealing.com">mind/emotions/body</a> state we can achieve through meditation, this open-eyed view of the self is our &#8220;yang&#8221; expression, as opposed to the &#8220;yin&#8221; of meditation. In this state of mind/emotion/body balance, or heightened consciousness, we begin to change our attitudes toward fear and anxiety, and become the master of our fears and master over the reactions that, up until the moment that we acknowledged them, had been running on &#8220;automatic pilot.&#8221; A mind at <a title="peace" href="http://www.trueinnerpeace.com"><a title="peace" href="http://www.trueinnerpeace.net">peace</a> </a>is capable of seeing a situation in a new way. It is open to inspiration, creativity, and problem solving. Emotions that are calm and steady are able to respond positively to new insight rather than reacting, often blindly or irrationally, from &#8220;knee-jerk&#8221; emotional patterns. A body that is relaxed, rather than tense, has more energy and is more capable of healing.</p>
